At the beginning of The TTV Podcast, the hosts often exclaim, "Mardi Gras!"

It all started with Mesonak, who visited the Saint Patrick's Day parade in New Orleans many years ago. He made a video in which he curiously said, "It's like Mardi Gras!", referring to the Mardi Gras celebration. Unfortunately for TTV fans, this video was never put up on the channel. Nonetheless, Meso's enthusiasm became an in-joke for the TTV Cast, so members began to blurt it out at the start of podcasts to colloquially mock him. Varderan in particular became accustomed to screaming it. This practice has continued for roughly five years. With time, it has become less frequent, but it saw a nostalgic resurgence in The TTV Podcast #300.

From July to December 2015, Mardi Gras T-Shirts were sold on the TTV store. This shirt might return now that TTV has started selling shirts again.
